Friends of Real Food is a community interest group that meets for monthly potluck discussions at the
Urban Ecology Center
on the East side of Milwaukee. The group seeks to "educate ourselves and our community about mindful eating, sustainable food systems and other food related issues." Check the UEC calendar for monthly topics and meeting times.
Slow Food Wisconsin Southeast
is a non-profit, eco-gastronomic movement advocating the support of family farms and cooperatives, promotion of locally grown food, support for school gardens, conservation of regional culinary traditions and the maintenance of biodiversity.
